With humble beginnings, operating the business office out of his home, and warehouse space behind his brother’s mechanic shop, John Stafford, along with many family members and friends, has built Bunker Gear Specialists (BGS, LLC) into Louisiana’s premier fire and safety equipment distributor. In 2006, BGS moved into its current state of the art facility location on South Commerce Ave. in Gonzales, Louisiana.

Catering to both municipal and industrial fire markets, John and his co-workers, strive for complete customer satisfaction on a daily basis. This type of commitment to excellence has led to brand and product specific exclusivities for Louisiana and parts of Mississippi.

It is our passion at BGS to provide the precise equipment and timely services that our customers have come to expect to ensure the safety of their employees and protection of their facilities.
